Miharayasuhiro 3-Way Bomber Jacket

Miharayasuhiro 3-Way Bomber Jacket

$150.00

Born in 1972 in Nagasaki, Japan, Yasuhiro enrolled in Tama Art University’s (The same school as Issey Miyake) textile design program in 1993. Early on in his studies, Yasuhiro developed a passion for footwear which he nurtured through working part-time in factories and through exploring tanneries during a foreign exchange trip to the UK. Following the trip, he set out to begin his own brand in 1996 - which was short lived. After those brief days, he graduated and relaunched the brand under his name in 199. He maintained a partnership with Puma that launched in the year 2000, which soon expanded beyond footwear. He drifted into creating menswear pieces out of curiosity and necessity due to his thought process to how shoes would pair with trousers and shirts in outfits.

This piece is a thick and heavy bomber jacket that deconstructs into a kimono style jacket with bomber sleeves, which then leaves the outer layer to become a canvas vest with a thick collar that's removable. This jacket features a waist belt that can be left down to hang on the sides or wrapped around front/back to change the fit of the jacket. The pockets also are long and tend to hang through the bottom of the jacket.
